For more than 55 years, St. Gabriel School has been serving families in the Windsor community and neighboring towns to provide quality, Catholic faith-based education for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 8. I am proud to represent this school and blessed to work with dedicated faculty and families committed to a shared goal of preparing our students with a strong academic, social and spiritual foundation for success in tomorrow’s ever-changing world.
Whether you are a prospective family visiting our website for the first time to learn about St. Gabriel School, a current parent or student visiting frequently for daily announcements and homework, or one of our alumni and community of friends visiting occasionally for school news and events, I hope you find the site both informative and easy to navigate. I invite you to visit often as we share all the exciting activities taking place at St. Gabriel throughout the academic year. I also welcome your feedback and would love to hear how we can serve you better through our website.

Catholic Schools Month Service Project
This year during Catholic Schools month, St. Gabriel School has chosen a service project of creating “Chemo Bags” for people that are going through chemotherapy at St. Francis Hospital. These bags will be filled with a variety of items to comfort those who are undergoing treatment. From now until January 19th, each class will collect an assigned item and the school will gather on Friday, January 20th to fill these bags. Our goal is to complete 100 bags, so more than one item per student would be greatly appreciated!
Below is the list of items needed, by grade:
- PreK 3 & 4 – Boxes of tea bags (peppermint, Chamomile and ginger are great choices)
- Grades K & 1 – Snack pack bags of Ginger snap cookies, pretzels or plain crackers
- Grade 2 – Cup ‘o soup packets, like chicken soup
- Grades 3 & 4 – Neck pillows or travel pillows
- Grade 5 – Crossword puzzle books, Word searches, or adult coloring books (maybe colored pencils as well)
- Grade 6 – Packets of gum or mints (spearmint, peppermint or cinnamon)
- Grade 7 – Ear buds for listening to music or TV while in treatment
- Grade 8 – Plastic reusable water bottles
With your help we can bring a little sunshine to those people who are dealing with a difficult challenge in their lives. Thank you all for making it possible for St. Gabriel School to do a service for others! Please send your items in to school with your child by Thursday, January 19th.
