Welcome to Onsite/Remote Learning
A Message from Karla Neville, Principal
Our top priority at Saint Gabriel School is the health and safety of our students, staff, parents and community.
We are currently implementing ways to make our school building a safe place for our students to return to this fall. We continue to receive guidance from state/medical authorities, the Office of Education, Evangelization and Catechesis (OEEC), and the Office of the Superintendent. Our reopening plans are fluid and will evolve as circumstances warrant.
We are offering an option for remote learning for those concerned about physically returning to classrooms. Details for this option are being worked on.
As you know, we have formed a Return to In-Person Instruction Committee. Our committee is comprised of Mrs. Schloat, Mrs. Carmon, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Baliga (teachers and parents of students at SGS), Mrs. Nunes, Mr. Muller, our school nurse once she begins, and myself.
Three different phases have been identified by the Archdiocese of Hartford - Green, Yellow and Red - and we have developed plans for each phase.
We will offer a Remote Learning Option for families who are not ready to send their child back to school in person during Green or Yellow phase. Parents must commit to a full trimester unless approved by the principal.
More information on these phases can be found on the respective drop-down pages in this section.
