The Fifth Grade at Saint Gabriel School Welcomes You!

The fifth grade academic program is based on the State of Connecticut and the Archdiocese of Hartford guidelines and requirements.

There are presently 25 students in the class. The school year is fun and busy - a lot of learning.

The class will be learning about the sacraments in religion, early history of the United States, studying the explorers and colonial times.

Math is exciting with themes of Geometry, Fractions, Graphing, Algebra and Measurement.

Journal writing expressing thoughts and ideas of the students foster expression and creativity for each student.

The fifth grade has weekly computer science lessons that incorporate various subject matter: English/Writing, Math, and Social Studies.

Science: Four days a week to science teacher. Classes are focused in General Science, which includes areas in the study of Matter, Electricity, Sound, Light, Weather, Animals, and Ecosystems.

Art, Music and Physical Education are also an important integral part of the weekly curriculum.
